Torii 鳥居

2016 English oak, bronze 600 x 990 x 940 mm Torii gates are found at the entrance of Shinto shrines in Japan. It marks the separation between the profane and mundane from the sacred. This work is a representation of the Torii gate, with two anthropomorphic figures suspending the bronze lintel.
